Chatra, May 31: The excavator machine engaged in the construction work of the Shivpur-Kathautia railway line was set ablaze by the criminals. The incident took place on Phulwaria Bridge number 106 of the Tandwa police station area of the district. On Tuesday late at night, more than 12 armed criminals raided the site threatening workers and burning an expensive excavator machine engaged in construction work.

Eyewitnesses said they thrashed the labourers and also fired in the air. After the incident, a handwritten leaflet was also left in the name of the TSPC (Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee) extremist organisation. In the leaflet, a warning has been given to the coal traders and contractors working in the block area.

In the handwritten leaflet, the TSPC organisation has warned corrupt leaders, land brokers, coal mafia, depot holders, NTPC, transporters and construction companies as well. It said that all the work going on in the area should not be started without talking to the organisation, otherwise, you will be responsible for your own death.
