Jamshedpur, June 1: Tata Steel Foundation would organise a four-day Indian Classical Dance workshop and performances under the name ‘Nityotsava’ from June 3-6, at the Rabindra Bhavan in Sakchi.
Over 450 students are expected to participate in the workshop.
The dance workshop is being organised in association with Kala Udyan, an entity that is actively working towards training the youth in Indian classical dance forms and music.
The workshop will include training in four major Indian dance forms: Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Manipuri and Odissi.
A dance performance by Tapan Pattanayak on the Saraikela Chhau and paika dance forms of Jharkhand will also be a part of the event.
