New Delhi, June 9: Police reported on Friday that an SUV slammed two Madhya Pradesh labourers’ bike close to the NLU red signal in Dwarka, resulting in two deaths and numerous injuries.
According to them, the suspect, named as Abrar (24), a citizen of Najafgarh’s Gopal Nagar, has been taken into custody.
“Injured persons were shifted to Indira Gandhi Hospital. A motorcycle and an SUV were found from the spot of the incident,” police said.
Maate (32) and Diksha (10), two Spine Enclave Sector 17 Dwarka residents, were named among the injured. The police reported that after receiving first assistance, both were sent to the Safdarjung Hospital.
While Foola (30) and Lakhan (37), two women, were recognised as the deceased.
According to police, it was found during the inquiry that Maate and his family were riding a motorbike from Bharat Vihar to Sector 17 when an SUV coming from Sector 13 ploughed into them.
According to the authorities, the four victims on the motorbike were all residents of the Tikamgarh area of Madhya Pradesh.
“Foola was Maate’s wife, and Lakhan was his brother-in-law,” said the police.
In accordance with the relevant parts of the Indian Penal Code, a case has been filed, according to the police.
