Deoghar, June 9: The adducted principal of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Degree College, Godda, Dr Najumuddin, has been murdered by his relatives. The body of the deceased was recovered from Diyajori under the Mahagama police station area today in the morning.
The Principal had been abducted while he was coming from Bihar with a driver in his car on June 8.

According to his driver, the incident took place around 7 pm evening yesterday. There were three miscreants in a black Venue car. They dragged the principal from his car and fled away in their vehicle. According to the driver, they threatened him to keep mum otherwise he would have to face consequences. So after two hours of abduction, the driver mustered his courage to tell the story to his family members.

Talking to mediapersons, SDPO Anand Mohan Singh said that the police got the information around 9 pm on Thursday. Getting the information of the incident, the Godda police came into action and by making consultation with the neighbouring police, check posts were activated.
Meanwhile, a car was intercepted in the town during checking. It was a breakthrough for the Godda police. The reply of the passengers of the car was not satisfactory and soon they reeled off the story of abduction and murder.

The SDPO attributed an old dispute among the family members over the management of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Degree College, a private college, and land to the incident.

Many have been taken into custody for interrogation.

Notably, the deceased was famous in the socio and political arena locally. News of his murder is shocking for the locals.
