Ramgarh, June 20: Apart from the common people, wild animals are also very upset due to the scorching heat.  Almost all the rivers, drains, ponds and other water sources in the Gola area of Ramgarh district have dried up due to the scorching heat.

Distressed by the water crisis, the animals are coming out of the forest and turning towards the village.  A similar sight is being seen for the last two weeks in the Hesapoda forest near the eastern end of the famous Shaktipeeth Maa Chinnamastike temple.

A herd of about a dozen elephants is creating havoc in the populated areas and damaging crops. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers. The movement of a herd of elephants near the village is creating chaos in the surrounding area.

Although the forest personnel are following the elephants but till now the elephants have not been chased to a safe place.  The herd of elephants was encamped in the forest of Hesapoda till last evening due to which panic prevailed in the village.
