Ranchi, June 20: Jharkhand police in Lohardaga arrested a criminal absconding for the last 18 years.
The breakthrough came after the police got information that the criminal, Shamim Ansari, had come to the residence of his son-in-law, Anwar Ansari, Rahmat Nagar locality of Lohardaga and a team was deputed behind him.
Ansari is accused in as many as nine cases registered under various sections of Indian Penal Code, Arms Act and Explosive Substance Act.
Recently during a review meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren had directed to improve law and order of the state and for that he had directed to arrest all those absconding for a long time.
