Srinagar, June 24: Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, laid the foundation stone for the “Balidaan Stambh” (Sacrifice Memorial Pillar) in Srinagar’s Partap Park on Saturday.
Shah on Friday afternoon laid the foundation stones for a number of projects in the Samba district as part of his two-day trip to Jammu and Kashmir.
He presented the Golden Health cards to beneficiaries and laid the foundation stone for the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).
Additionally, the Union Minister spoke at a public event in Jammu, where he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would form the government in 2024 by winning more than 300 seats and regaining the position of Prime Minister again.
The Union Minister also reflected on Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s achievements on the anniversary of his death and reminded that Bengal’s inclusion in India is a result of the late leader’s efforts.
Shah also interacted with the Rajouri terror attack victims’ families.
As part of his two-day tour to Jammu and Kashmir, he also spoke at the Vitasta Mahotsav as a chief guest hosted by the Ministry of Culture in Srinagar on Friday.
Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi, the Union Home Secretary, and the Secretary of the Ministry of Culture were among the dignitaries in attendance.
