Dhanbad, June 28: In this Shrawaani Mela devotees would not be allowed to stay in hotels, rest houses and Dharmshala without an Aadhar card in Baidyanath Dham.

The Deoghar district administration has made Aadhar card mandatory for devotees at hotels and Dharmshalas during Shrawani Mela scheduled from July 4 to August 30. The hotel/ Dharmshala operators would have to maintain the ID and other details of customers also.

In this regard, Deoghar SDM Dipankar Choudhary has issued guidelines to hotels and Dharmshbala operators from the safety point of view of devotees during the Shrawani Mela.  He strictly directed them to allow entry of devotees only after getting their Aadhar card and mobile phone number.

The SDM, who held a meeting with the operators and owners of hotels and Dharmshbalas, also directed them to install CCTV cameras on a priority basis and maintain hygienic conditions in the surrounding areas of their premises.

As per instruction, the hotel and Dharmshala operators would have to follow the guidelines of the Food Safety Standard Act (FSSA) and display the establishment rate chart of rooms and others during Mela for facilities of devotees. Moreover, the staff of hotels and Dharmshalas too would have to carry  identity cards.

“ In case any hotel realizes rent more than the fixed rate from the devotee, legal action would be initiated against him,” said SDM Choudhary.
As per instruction, the hotel, rest house and Dharmshala operators would have to maintain the traffic system in front of their premises during Mela. Any traffic jam would trigger action from the administration.

Traffic DSP Alok, executive magistrate Supriya Bhagat,  assistant public relations officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi and other officials of the district administration were present at the meeting.
