Ranchi, June 28: Dr Anant Sinha and Dr Shambhu Prasad Singh were elected president and secretary of the Hospital Board of India (HBI) Jharkhand chapter respectively for the 2023-25 session.
The executive committee of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) state chapter at its meeting on Wednesday reconstituted its several wings, including the Hospital Board of India Jharkhand chapter to activate the organization.
Besides, the president and secretary, Dr Amit Mohan became the new vice-chairman while Dr Rajesh and Dr Lal Majhi became the new treasurer and joint secretary respectively.
The members of the new HBI committee are considered experienced as they have already served the IMA and other medicos bodies in Ranchi in different capacities.
They have replaced Dr SR Das ( chairman of the outgoing committee) of Ranchi and Dr Sushil Kumar ( secretary) of Dhanbad.
An IMA official said hospitals and clinics in the state are going through a critical phase due to continuous attacks by anti-social elements and besides that, new committee office bearers have also been included from Ranchi.
Dr Shambhu Prasad Singh was president of the IMA Ranchi chapter and lost in the last election. Vice-chairman Dr Amit Mohan was also secretary of the Ranchi IMA chapter but had to leave it mid-day after a dispute.

IMA state president Dr AK Singh and secretary Dr Pradeep Kumar Singh congratulated all the office bearers for their new assignment and expressed hope that the team would perform extraordinarily in the interest of hospital health services to patients right from Ranchi to the remote areas of the state.
