Ramgarh, July 4: Ramgarh Engineering College (REC) hosted a placement drive for the 2024 batch organized by Tech Mahindra, a leading global technology solutions company. The event aimed to offer lucrative job opportunities to final-year engineering students, allowing them to embark on promising careers in the IT industry.

The placement drive took place at the REC campus and witnessed active participation from both students of Ramgarh, Chaibasa and Dumka Engineering College and the recruiters.

The primary objective of the Tech Mahindra placement drive was to identify and hire skilled and talented students who could contribute to the company’s growth and success. By conducting the drive at Ramgarh Engineering College, Tech Mahindra aimed to tap into the pool of bright minds and provide them with a platform to showcase their skills and potential.

Additionally, students had the chance to clarify their doubts and queries during these interactive sessions.

The drive comprised multiple rounds of assessment, including Pre-Placement talks, Group Discussions and HR interviews. The recruiters assessed the candidates on various parameters such as problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, communication abilities and overall suitability for the roles on offer.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the final-year students, with 162 of them participating in the drive, including three institutions with enthusiasm and confidence. The candidates demonstrated their abilities and exhibited a deep understanding of the subjects relevant to their chosen domains.

At the end of the selection process, 45 students were selected by Tech Mahindra. The selected students were offered employment opportunities based on their skills, performance and the company’s requirements.

Dr. Sharbani Roy, Principal of Ramgarh Engineering College commended Tech Mahindra for its commitment to nurturing young talents and contributing to the growth of the nation’s engineering ecosystem.

Dr. Nazmul Islam, Vice Principal of Ramgarh Engineering College praised Tech Mahindra for its efforts in providing a platform for students to showcase their skills and talents. They highlighted the importance of industry-academia collaborations in preparing students for the competitive job market.
