Jaipur, Aug 17: In Rajasthan, where the assembly elections are scheduled for later this year, the BJP on Thursday announced the two crucial election committees.
Vasundhara Raje, a former chief minister and prominent party figure, is not a member of any of these bodies.
J P Nadda, the party’s national president, established the election management committee and the election manifesto committee.
Former MP Narayan Panchariya is in charge of the 21-member election management committee, while Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will be in charge of the Pradesh Sankalp Patra (manifesto) committee.
BJP state president C P Joshi and in-charge for Rajasthan, Arun Singh, made the announcement.
