New Delhi, Sept 24: It is reported that America’s intelligence agency FBI has suddenly become active in the Khalistan case. According to sources, in recent days, FBI officials have met many militants and warned them that they too can be killed like Nijjar. This attitude of America is a cause of concern for India.

After the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, relations between India and Canada are going under tension. Canada is accusing Indian agents of being involved in Nijjar’s murder. But no evidence has been presented yet in this case. Meanwhile, the US Ambassador posted in Canada has said that the allegations made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were based on intelligence information.

On June 18, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, chief of the banned Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), was murdered in Surrey, Canada. Nijjar was shot by two unknown assailants outside a Gurudwara. After this murder, a diplomatic dispute has arisen between India and Canada. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is blaming India in this matter.

Preetpal Singh, coordinator of the American Sikh Caucus Committee, told The Intercept that he and two other Sikh Americans in California had received a call from the FBI after Nijjar’s murder. He has also met FBI officials. According to the committee, during the meeting, FBI officials cited Nijjar’s murder as a threat to their lives.

British Columbia Gurdwara Council spokesperson Moninder Singh said that the FBI told them that they were all in danger of being murdered. However, it was not told whether the threat was from Indian intelligence agencies or from someone else. Sukhman Dhami, co-director of California-based NGO Insaaf, also confirmed this news.

The White House has said that America is in touch with India after Canada’s allegations. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Friday that the US is also in regular contact with the Canadian government. Jean-Pierre said that they have held talks with the Indian government.
