Chennai, Sept 28: AIADMK, the party led by Palaniswami, has stated it will make a separate alliance for the forthcoming Parliamentary elections. Furthermore, they have stated that they will no longer be in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in contrast to the statements made by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi Stalin.

The move comes three days after the AIADMK declared it was leaving the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and severing its four-year relationship with the BJP, stating it would form a separate front to run in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024.

Senior AIADMK leader KP Munusamy told reporters in Krishnagiri that the party has not demanded the dismissal of BJP state chief K Annamalai.

“It is childish to even ask if such a large party like AIADMK would seek the removal of the party’s state president. We will never commit such a mistake,” Munusamy said.

“We are not uncivilised leaders to tell another party how it should function. AIADMK is not such a party,” Munusamy added.

In response to inquiries regarding the possibility of joining the NDA at a later time, Munusamy stated, “Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi are claiming that this is a drama. They are only speaking in such a manner due to the fear they face after we broke ties with BJP.”

“At no point will we join NDA but will create a new alliance headed by Edapadi K Palanisamy,” Munusamy clarified.
