Dhanbad: Found absent on Durga puja duty, six magistrates lose one day’s salary

Dhanbad, Oct 21: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Barun Ranjan has ordered the deduction of one day’s salary of six absentee magistrates deployed at different  Durga Puja Pandals and slapped show cause notice to them after inspection.

The deputy commissioner in a sudden inspection of security arrangements visited different Puja  Pandals of the city and became shocked and surprised having found deployed magistrate at six important places missing on Friday night.

He ordered a deduction of their one-day salary and issued show cause notice for their absence on the spot.
The magistrates who were found absent were Debashish Kumar of Steel Gate Shiv Mandir Durgapuja Mandal, Mohmmed Kaiser Alam Ansari of  Bhuli ‘a’ Block Puja Pandal,  Ujjwal Minj deployed at Bhuli ‘B’ Block Puja Pandal, Jaya Prakash Dikshit deployed at Bhuli’C’ Block Puja Pandal, Shyam Lal Majhi deployed at Bhuli’ D’ Block Puja Pandal, Sanjay Kumar Singh, deployed at Bhuli’D’ Block market Puja  Pandal.
The DC also directed concerned officials to issue show cause notices to police personnel, health staff, and sanitation staff who were found absent from their deployment spots during the inspection.

“Strict action would be taken against officials and staff whoever are found absent from their duty during the Durga Puja festival,” said  Barun Ranjan.
