Bihar, Oct 29: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has cancelled the registration of 181 schools, which includes three secondary schools and 178 aided secondary schools. This decision was made during a meeting of the newly formed governing body of the BSEB, chaired by its chairman Anand Kishor.

The registration of these schools was revoked as they were not complying with most of the provisions outlined in the regulations of 2011. However, the education of the students in these schools will not be disrupted. The board has decided to enrol these students in nearby schools.

The three government secondary schools whose registration has been cancelled by BSEB include Girls High School located at Dhekha in East Champaran, Mathura Prasad Girls High School located at Rajapakad in Vaishali and Girls High School Virra located at Bhagwanpur in Jehanabad.

According to the committee, these three secondary schools did not meet the land standards and were not cooperating with the inspection officials. Additionally, these schools were completely non-functional, with zero enrollment.

Moreover, in the aided secondary schools, there were deficiencies in terms of classrooms, teachers, laboratories, electricity supply, toilet facilities, and common rooms for both teachers and students, which did not meet the prescribed standards. Following these findings, BSEB has taken action against 178 of these schools.
