Hosur: A massive fire broke out early Saturday morning at Tata Electronics’ manufacturing unit in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The fire reportedly started in the mobile phone manufacturing section, causing significant property damage and leading to a large-scale evacuation.

Initial reports suggest that the blaze began around 5:30 am in the mobile phone accessories painting unit located in Uddanapalli, near Nagamangalam. Thick black smoke soon filled the area, creating panic among the workers and nearby residents. Several fire engines were dispatched to control the fire and evacuate employees.

Around 1,500 workers were present for the first shift when the incident occurred. Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported so far. However, three employees experienced respiratory issues and were taken to a private hospital, where they are said to be in stable condition.

A Tata Electronics spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that emergency protocols were followed and all employees were evacuated safely. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and appropriate measures are being taken to ensure the safety of all involved.

Local police have deployed over 100 personnel to manage the situation and secure the premises.
