Ranchi: Jharkhand’s tableau has been selected among 15 states and Union Territories to participate in the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi. The tableau will present a vibrant display of the state’s rich heritage, cultural diversity, and development initiatives at the national event on January 26, 2025.
Highlights of Jharkhand’s Tableau
This year, the tableau will pay tribute to the late Ratan Tata while showcasing the state’s thriving culture, traditional dances, and the empowerment of women in education.
In 2024, Jharkhand’s tableau based on Tasar Silk received widespread acclaim for its unique representation at the Republic Day Parade.
Selection Process and Preparations
The central government had invited proposals from all states and Union Territories for their tableaux. Following a rigorous selection process, only 15 were chosen for the national event in Delhi.
Jharkhand’s tableau design received commendation during the selection process. The state has been directed to finalize and prepare its tableau by January 19, 2025, with full rehearsals scheduled for January 23, 2025 in Delhi.
The tableau will present a unique blend of traditional art forms and modern achievements, bringing Jharkhand’s cultural richness to the forefront for the nation to witness.
