Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched the ‘Abua Budget’ portal and mobile app on Sunday at his residential office to invite suggestions, opinions, and ideas from the general public for the preparation of the 2025-26 state budget.

Speaking at the event, CM Soren emphasized that this initiative reflects the essence of the ‘Abua Sarkar’ (Our Government) and aims to focus on a balanced budget that promotes sustainable, inclusive, and comprehensive development while prioritizing public welfare.

Public Participation in Budget Planning

The Chief Minister stated that the suggestions and feedback from citizens are crucial for shaping the upcoming budget. “We value the opinions of our citizens and aim to incorporate their constructive suggestions into the 2025-26 budget,” he said.

He directed officials to ensure that the budget focuses on the balanced development of all sectors, particularly the rural economy. Provisions for robust revenue collection strategies must also be included to ensure the effective implementation of development and welfare schemes.

Objectives of the Abua Budget Portal and App

The portal and app aim to gather inputs from experts and the general public to draft a well-rounded and balanced budget. The feedback received will undergo thorough analysis to integrate suggestions that align with the state’s development goals and public welfare.

Recognition for Valuable Suggestions

The state government will honor three individuals with the best suggestions. Citizens can submit their inputs until January 17, 2025.

Key Officials Present

The launch event was attended by Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, Urban Development Minister Sudivya Kumar, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Principal Secretary to the CM Avinash Kumar, Special Secretary of the Finance Department Amit Kumar, Budget Officer Chandrabhushan Prasad, OSD Budget Satyanarayan Prasad, and NIC officials Kunal Anand and Gaurav Kumar, among others.
