Chennai: A tense moment unfolded at Chennai International Airport on Tuesday when a fire broke out in the fourth engine of an international cargo flight arriving from Kuala Lumpur. According to official sources cited by PTI, the incident occurred during landing, but the pilots managed to bring the aircraft down safely without the need for an emergency landing.

Quick Response Averts Disaster

Fire tenders, already on standby, swiftly extinguished the flames, preventing further damage. Airport officials confirmed that no injuries were reported among the crew.

Investigation Underway

Authorities have launched a probe to determine the cause of the engine fire. While the extent of the damage to the aircraft has not yet been disclosed, operations at the airport remained unaffected.

This is a developing story, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
