The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced that the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted on February 8, 2025. The national-level examination will take place across 132 cities and be available in 20 different languages.
Exam Structure and Levels
The CTET examination will consist of two papers — Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is meant for candidates aspiring to teach at the primary level (Classes 1 to 5), while Paper II is designed for those seeking to teach at the upper primary level (Classes 6 to 8). Each paper will test candidates on teaching aptitude, subject knowledge, and educational methodology.
Official Notification and Application Details
According to CBSE, a detailed information bulletin covering the exam pattern, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fees, city list, and key dates will soon be available on the official CTET website (https://ctet.nic.in). The board has urged candidates to download the bulletin only from the official site and read it carefully before applying.
