Sydney: Playing for pride in the final ODI against Australia, India made two notable changes to their bowling lineup—bringing in wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav and pacer Prasidh Krishna, while dropping Nitish Kumar Reddy and Arshdeep Singh. The decision to finally include Kuldeep follows criticism over his exclusion in the previous two matches, both of which India lost.

Bowling Overhaul Amid Toss Woes

India lost the toss again in Sydney, marking their 18th consecutive toss loss in ODIs—a new record. With the series already conceded after defeats in Perth and Adelaide, the team revamped its attack. Kuldeep joins all-rounders Axar Pateland Washington Sundar in the spin department, while Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana lead the pace attack alongside newcomer Prasidh Krishna.

Australia Rings One Change

Australia, already 2–0 up in the series, made a single change by reintroducing Nathan Ellis in place of Xavier Bartlett, who had impressed in the Adelaide match with key dismissals of Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli.
