Ranchi: RIMS has rolled out several new measures to improve healthcare services, expand free treatment facilities and ensure greater transparency across the institution. Within the next two months, five air-conditioned Moksh vehicles will be purchased to transport deceased patients to their homes free of cost, and the process of regularising employees who have been working for more than ten years will also begin.
Expansion Of Diagnostic Facilities And Strict Free-Treatment Protocol
To address shortages of specialists and reduce dependency on private vendors, tenders for the operation of diagnostic services including PET-CT and Thallium Scan will be finalised within six months. Poor and insurance-card-holding patients will receive medicines, implants and all tests completely free within prescribed limits. Writing external prescriptions or recommending outside implants will be strictly prohibited. Efforts will be made to increase Ayushman Bharat claim amounts and monthly claim reports will be generated.
Human Resource Reforms And Improved Workforce Monitoring
A proposal will be drafted to amend recruitment rules for Grade-III (nursing, paramedical) and clerical positions. State government rules will be provisionally applied for clerical recruitment, and manpower will be provided through outsourcing until regular appointments are completed. Biometric attendance and CCTV surveillance will be strengthened to ensure presence of doctors and staff, and a list of doctors involved in private practice will be prepared.
Advisory Committee For Structural Improvements At RIMS
To accelerate institutional reforms, an advisory committee comprising experts from premier medical institutions will be formed. Former RIMS Director Dr. Kameshwar Prasad will serve as a member of this panel.
