South Africa clinched the Tri-nation T20 series by defeating West Indies in the second match at SuperSport Park. Chasing a daunting target of 222, the Proteas showcased explosive batting and sealed victory with 15 balls to spare, taking an unassailable 2–0 lead in the series.
Quinton de Kock Leads the Charge
South African opener Quinton de Kock stole the show with a blistering 115-run knock, registering his second T20 century. With this innings, de Kock also crossed 12,000 career runs in T20 cricket, becoming the highest T20 run-scorer for South Africa.
West Indies Set a Big Total
Batting first, West Indies started strong with Brandon King scoring 27 off 11 balls and Shimron Hetmyer anchoringthe innings alongside. Sherfane Rutherford added late firepower with a quick 57 off 24 balls, propelling the Windies to 221 runs.
Despite the big total, South Africa’s powerful batting lineup dismantled the chase with ease, clinching the match and the series.
