New Delhi/Tehran: Amid rising tensions and reports of a possible US military strike on Iran, India has issued an advisory urging its citizens to leave Iran at the earliest using available commercial flights and other means.

Embassy Advises Immediate Departure

The Indian Embassy in Tehran on Monday advised all Indian nationals currently in Iran—including students, pilgrims, businesspersons, and tourists—to exit the country in view of the evolving security situation. The advisory emphasized that individuals should make arrangements to depart as soon as possible through commercial airlines or any other available transportation.

Safety Precautions and Embassy Contact

The embassy has urged Indians to exercise caution, avoid public gatherings and protests, and remain in constant touch with the mission. Citizens have been advised to keep their travel and identity documents ready at all times. Emergency helpline numbers and contact details of the embassy have also been shared to assist those in need.

Registration and Emergency Support

The embassy further requested that Indian nationals who have not yet registered with the mission should do so through the official registration link. This step is aimed at ensuring better coordination and assistance in case the situation deteriorates further.
