New Delhi: The Indian National Congress (Jharkhand) has raised serious questions about CBSE’s answer sheet digitisation process, sharing photographs that allegedly show answer books being photographed using mobile phones rather than being scanned through proper scanning equipment as claimed by the board.
Photos Show Creased Pages, Shadows and Uneven Sheets
Congress shared images on its official Facebook handle alleging multiple technical flaws in the digitisation process. According to the party, the photographs reveal answer sheets that are bent or creased, pages with visible shadows, and sheets that are not lying flat — all of which raise serious concerns about the quality and accuracy of the scanning process affecting students’ evaluated copies.
CBSE Misled Students About Scanning Process, Claims Congress
The party alleged that while CBSE publicly claims answer sheets are scanned using professional scanners, the photographs serve as evidence that workers were handed mobile phones and asked to simply photograph the answer books before uploading them. Congress questioned what kind of scanning process COEMPT, the company entrusted with the work, employed and accused it of being a corrupt organisation used by the Modi government to make money at students’ expense.
Zero Data Security, Anyone Can Access Answer Sheets
Congress also raised a serious data security concern, alleging that answer sheets of lakhs of CBSE students are accessible to anyone, pointing to what the party described as zero data security in the entire system. The party called it a complete failure of institutional responsibility towards students.
Congress Demands Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation
The party accused the Modi government of putting students’ futures at risk to benefit a corrupt company like COEMPT. Congress stated that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has destroyed the education system and has no right to continue in his position, demanding his immediate resignation.
