Ranchi: Ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections, INDIA alliance legislators held an important meeting at BNR in Ranchi, discussing voting strategy and election preparations before alliance leaders made a show of unity and confidently claimed victory while launching sharp attacks on the BJP.
Mock Drill Conducted to Avoid Invalid Votes
MLA Pradeep Yadav said a mock drill was conducted to ensure no confusion remains among legislators about the voting process. He stated that not a single MLA’s vote was declared invalid during the drill and that all legislators are fully prepared for polling day.
BJP Under Fire for Supporting Independent Candidate
MLA Kumar Jaymangal attacked the BJP, pointing out that the opposition had to house its legislators in a hotel and could not even field its own candidate, being forced instead to back an independent. He claimed that the Mahagathbandhan is completely united and its victory is certain.
All MLAs United, Says Alliance
MLA Naman Viksal Kongadi also expressed full confidence in the alliance’s victory, saying all legislators are together and the result will go in the Mahagathbandhan’s favour. Congress leader Rajesh Thakur claimed the alliance has the support of 62 MLAs and said while the Mahagathbandhan is fully united, confusion prevails within the BJP camp.
