Ranchi: Ahead of a possible dialogue between the government and protesting students over irregularities in JPSC appointments scheduled for Thursday, Jharkhand Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore stated that the issue in Jharkhand is not one of paper leak, but rather of backdoor and wrongful appointments made with malicious intent.
Kishore Blames Agency Behind Predetermined Appointments
Kishore said the agency responsible for predetermining questions or candidates in the alleged JPSC recruitment irregularities was at fault, and that the government was taking action against those involved. He added that, like the protesting students, the government also wanted such cases to be brought to a close, asserting that the government stood with the students.
19 Arrested So Far in CID Investigation
After the JPSC irregularities came to light, the state government had ordered a CID investigation into the matter. The CID has arrested 19 people so far in connection with the case, including alleged mastermind Abhay Tiwari and JPSC officials.
