New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has appealed to people fighting against injustice to join his Satyagraha movement and share their stories, announcing the call in a post on X.
“A Lone Voice Often Gets Drowned Out”
Gandhi wrote that people across the country are fighting for their rights, often forced to do so alone. He said that Gen Z, students, farmers, tribals, Dalits and women each have their own story of struggle, but a voice raised alone is often suppressed.
Satyagraha Aims to Bring Voices Together on a Map
Describing Satyagraha as an initiative to bring these voices together on a single map, Gandhi said this is what Bapu had taught. He called truth a great weapon, adding that standing united with the truth is an even greater one. He urged anyone fighting an injustice to send in their story, saying it would be placed on the map so they can see who else is fighting alongside them.
Gandhi Pledges to Stand with Those Fighting
Gandhi said he would do whatever he can, in Parliament, on the streets, through letters, and by standing with people wherever he is needed. Citing his responsibility as Leader of the Opposition, he asked people to tell him the story of their Satyagraha.
