Chakradharpur: The investigation of illegal withdrawal of one crore 60 lakh rupees has started in Urdu Town Middle School. On Thursday, a team of three-member officials of the Education Department reached the school and checked the files. The team included Chaibasa Sadar Area Education Officer (BEEO) Abhay Kumar Singh, Chakradharpur cum Bandgaon BEEO Shiv Shankar Prasad Akela and Chakradharpur BEEO Vijay Kumar. Apart from scrutinizing the files reaching the school, the officials took information about the matter from other parties including in-charge headmistress Kausar Parveen, secretary Bairam Khan. The matter was complained to the higher authorities by the former president of the school and member of the social welfare and human rights organization, Mohammad Fahim.
President Ahmed Hussain had resigned from his post due to disturbances
In the complaint, he had said that illegal withdrawal has been made from the salary item of teachers by using unauthorized signatures by misusing the position and authority. On 17 July 2019, the then president Ahmed Hussain had resigned from his post due to disturbances in the school. After this, Secretary Bairam Khan also resigned on 15 July 2019.
After the resignation of both, the managing committee was automatically dissolved. But the former officers and teachers of the committee in connivance with wrongly signed and withdrawn crores of rupees from the salary item. He had demanded strict legal action against the culprits. Here, the officials who arrived for investigation said that they are investigating on the complaint of Mohammad Faheem. It is a case of illegal withdrawal. After the investigation, the report will be submitted to the senior officers.
