Jamshedpur, Sept 13 : Former chief minister Babulal Marandi on Monday accused the Hemant Soren-led government of having failed the people of the state on development and tribal uplift.
During his two-day visit to Jamshedpur, Marandi said, “ The JMM made tall promises to the electorate during the election and also reiterated the same on the floor of the Assembly after the election. But, during the last one-and-half years no development work has taken place in the state.”
He was addressing the party’s SC/ST Cell members at The Milanee Hall here in Bistupur this evening.
He said the party would take the message of the state government’s failure to do anything for tribal uplift in rural areas so that villagers and tribals come to know about the reality.
Marandi also expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation.
The former chief minister was given a rousing welcome by members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha ( BJYM) on his arrival to steel city by road.
He was felicitated by BJYM members at the Domuhani bridge in Sonari from where he drove to Bistupur.
