Ranchi: A young man was murdered in the Tupudana area of Ranchi yesterday late at night using a sharp weapon. The deceased has been identified as Sagar Verma. Tupudana police has registered a case and is searching for the prime accused at present.
According to the police, Sagar had gone to the Glass Factory with his friends to see an orchestra on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja where a dispute about something among them took place. Things got out of hand and a man named Sintu attacked Sagar’s stomach with a sharp weapon, injuring him seriously and ran away. Sagar was rushed to a hospital in Hatia from where doctors referred him to RIMS. He died on his way to the referred hospital.
Following the incident, Tupudana police have arrested 3 people for investigating this case. The prime accused is still absconding but the police are continuously raiding his possible hiding out places.
The deceased was an auto driver. On the day of the incident, he took his owner’s auto from Pandara for some personal use and returned home late in the evening. A few minutes later his friends asked him to accompany them for a walk following which the incident happened.
Sagar was the only son of his father Ashok Verma. The family is in a bad condition following this incident and is demanding proper investigation and punishment for the accused.
