Ranchi, Sept.20: The poor in the state will again start getting Saree or Dhoti or Lungi worth Rs 400 in the open market for Rs 10 through PDS shop under Sona-Sobran Dhoti Saree Yojna from September 22.

Finance cum food and civil supply minister Rameshwar Oraon will officially launch the scheme at sub-capital Dumka, where he will reach by road tomorrow after starting from his Bariatu residence.

Apart from starting the scheme of distributing subsidized clothes, he will distribute assets among selected beneficiaries of various development and welfare schemes of the government on the occasion.

Congress spokesperson Alok Dubey informed this saying it was an old scheme that the Raghubar Das government had stopped.

“The Hemant Soren government has restarted the same scheme which Raghubar Das had closed without bothering about the problem of poverty. It will help the poor get their clothing besides food grains,” Dubey said, sharing the information.
