Mumbai, Nov 16: Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar ‘Badhaai Do’, has a new release date. The film which was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on Republic Day, 2022, will now be released on February 4, 2022.
Bhumi took her Instagram handle to announce the new release date. She wrote, “ Badhaai Do will now release in theaters on February 4, 2022! We cannot wait for you to witness this family entertainer on the big screen. See you at the movies.” ! @rajkummar_rao @jungleepictures #HarshavardhanKulkarni #AkshatGhildial @sumadhikary (sic).”

Notably, Badhaai Do is a sequel to the National Award winning comedy drama, Badhaai Ho (2018). The upcoming film is being directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni and produced by Junglee Pictures. The film is written by Akshat Ghildial and Suman Adhikary.
Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar will be be seen together on screen for the first time. Rajkumar will be essaying the role of a cop in a Mahila Police thana and Bhumi will be playing the role of a PT teacher in this film. The film also boasts of an ensemble cast featuring Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Nitish Pandey , Shashi Bhushan and many more.
