India registers 10,302 fresh Covid-19 cases, 7.2% lower than yesterday

New Delhi, Nov.20:  The data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday showed that India reported 10,302 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, down 7.2 percent from the previous day.

The total number of cases in the country fell to 3,44,99,925, with total recoveries of $3,39,09,708 across the country. In the last 24 hours, a total of 11,787 patients have recovered. The recovery rate has already reached 98.29%.

The number of active cases in India is 1,24,868. Active cases have decreased by 1,752 in the previous 24 hours.

Kerala had the most Covid-19 cases, with 5,754 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 906 cases, West Bengal with 877 cases, Tamil Nadu with 772 cases, and Mizoram with 336.

On Sunday, these five states accounted for 83.9 percent of all new cases reported, with Kerala accounting for 55.85 percent of all new infections.

In the last 24 hours, 267 people succumbed to Covid-19, increasing the total reported death count to 4,65,349.

According to data from the Health Ministry, India conducted 10,72,863 tests the day before.

In the last 24 hours, 51,59,931 vaccination doses were provided, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,15,79,69,274.
