New Delhi, Nov.26: The travel ban on travelers from six nations, including India, will be lifted by Saudi Arabia. Passengers from Pakistan, Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt, and Indonesia, on the other hand, will be able to enter the country immediately beginning December 1.

According to reports, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior issued orders allowing fully vaccinated expats from these nations to enter the Kingdom without having to transit for 14 days outside their country.

However, regardless of their vaccination status outside the Kingdom, individuals must spend five days in quarantine, according to the MOI, as reported by local press.

All methods and actions are subject to constant examination by the Kingdom’s health authorities, according to the MOI.

Expats planning to return to the Kingdom should take all necessary health precautions to ensure they are clear of infection, according to the ministry.

The restriction was enacted earlier this year to halt the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic. Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Turkey, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden, Brazil, Argentina, Pakistan, South Africa, India, Indonesia, and Japan were all included in the embargo. Diplomats, medical personnel, and their families, on the other hand, were allowed to enter the Kingdom.

Travelers who transited via any of the 20 nations in the 14 days leading up to a scheduled visit to the country were also subject to the travel ban.

Flights to and from the Kingdom were first halted on March 14, 2020, two weeks after the WHO designated the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic.

On January 3, 2021, air, land, and marine travel to Saudi Arabia were reinstated.
