Mumbai, Dec 3: India won the toss and opted to bat in the second Test of the two-match Test series against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Friday.

Notably, Ishant Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja and skipper Kane Williamson have been ruled out due to injuries that they sustained during the first Test in Kanpur.

“We’re batting first. Looks loke a hard wicket and not a lot of grass. With the sin out, it should be the best time to bat,” said Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
