Ludhiana, Dec.25: The forensic report filed with the Punjab Police has revealed that at least 2kg of RDX (Royal Demolition Explosive) was used in the Ludhiana court blast on December 23.

According to the report, several of the explosives were washed away when a water line burst during the explosion.

An explosion at the District and Sessions court building in Ludhiana killed one person and injured five others on December 23, Thursday. According to sources, the Ludhiana court blast was carried out by Babbar Khalsa, a Pakistan-backed pro-Khalistan group.

The police and the National Security Guard (NSG) believe the deceased was the one who planted the bomb on the court grounds after a preliminary investigation. The individual has been identified as Gagandeep, a former cop, according to sources.

It is being said that Gagandeep’s phone reportedly exploded during the incident. He did, however, have a dongle that he used to access the internet. The NIA and Punjab Police believe he was gathering information about how to assemble and activate the device from someone online.

Gagandeep was tracked down using the SIM card from the same internet dongle. His family then recognised the dead body because of his tattoo.
