Mumbai, Dec 29: The much-anticipated patriotic drama ‘RRR,’ directed by SS Rajamouli, will be released in theatres on January 7, 2022.
The film, which is a New Year’s Eve treat for moviegoers, will be released on its scheduled date, despite the rising Omicron scare.
Movie critic Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to share the news of the film’s release on its scheduled date. The tweet reads as,”Breaking News…’RRR’ very much on 7 Jan 2022…SS Rajamouli official statement to me….NO POSTPONEMENT.”

‘RRR’, a power-packed drama starring south actors Junior NTR and Ram Charan Teja in lead roles. Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, both from Bollywood, play important roles in the film. Following a glimpse of the actors’ stellar performance in the trailer, the audience has been eagerly awaiting the film’s release.
‘RRR,’ the period action drama will be released in theatres around the world on January 7, 2022. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film also have stars like Samthirakani, Spandan Chaturvedi, Olivia Morris, Alison Doody, Shriya Saran, and Ray Stevenson.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt revealed that Jr NTR and Ram Charan dubbed the entire film ‘RRR’ in Hindi in their own voices.
