Juvenile accompanies extremists in Khunti, arrested

Ranchi, Jan.1: A juvenile accompanying a group of four armed extremists was detained today at Karra police station in the Khunti district.

The detention took place after a police team swung into action getting information regarding the movement of extremists associated with the People’s Liberation Front of India armed with one country made carbine with ammunition and arrested four.

“With four extremists including Mohammed Omar, Rahul Singh, Kirshna Pan and Imtiyaz, all in the age group of 21 to 23, there was a juvenile also. He being a child in conflict with the law was detained for action under the provisions of Juvenile Justice Act while other four were produced before the court to be sent in judicial custody,” a police official said.
