Ranchi, Jan 3: Young Indians in Jharkhand responded positively to the call given by the district administration to get vaccinated for a decisive war against Corona pandemic.

This was reflected after the visit of two of the 5 centres across the Jharkhand capital. By 1 p.m. more than 450 students were vaccinated at two centres located in the heart of the city including Marwari School and Zila School.

At Marwari School, a long queue was noticed at 1 pm and 350 students were vaccinated. Similarly, at Zila School over 100 were vaccinated by 12 noon.

Shivraj Mahato, a class 12 student of Zila school was happy to get first dose. “I was waiting for the vaccine after my parents were vaccinated during the second wave. I was worried for my safety. Now worry has reduced,” Mahato said.

A teacher of the same school, K.Mahto, was also happy.

“During the second wave, most of us got infected. One of us also died. We were worried about poor children. Now I can take a heave a sigh of relief,” she said.

Rajesh Kumar Paswan,  Sumit Kumar Singh and Kundan Kumar Yadav, all class 9 students of Marwari school, had come together for vaccination.

“We did not have any adverse effects. We took the vaccine together and returned to my home happily. Vaccination remained a pleasant experience for us as after a long time we could stand together for a good cause,” Paswan said while others supported him.
