Jamshedpur, Jan 10 : Jharkhand will experience unseasonal rain for the next few days from today, predicted IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre. It also issued a hail alert.

Several parts of the state including Jamshedpur woke up to overcast condition on Monday.

A western disturbance passing through north Pakistan extending  between 3.1 and 7.6 km above mean sea level would impact Jharkhand’s weather.

An induced cyclonic circulation has also formed over eastern Rajasthan  extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.

” Light to moderate rain is expected in several parts of  northern and central Jharkhand today. Rainfall is also likely to take place at many places across the state between Tuesday and Thursday due to the impact of the western disturbance and an associated cyclonic circulation,” said a weather analyst.

The Ranchi Met Centre also issued an alert of thunderstorm and hail in northern and central Jharkhand on Monday and Tuesday.

Several places across the state including Jamshedpur and Ranchi confronted early morning fog which reduced surface visibility.

Weathermen said the minimum readings will witness a rise by two to three degrees Celsius in the next 48 hours due to adverse weather condition.

The day’s reading will witness a fall due to the cloud cover.

IMD data suggested that most districts on Monday recorded minimum readings between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius.
