New Delhi, Jan 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi onMonday interacted with children who had been awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP). PM Modi also awarded digital diplomas to the beneficiaries via video conferencing, utilising blockchain technology.
During the event, Prime Minister asked an awardee “You have also written Balmukhi Ramayan…so much work …Are you able to live your childhood…?”. To which the child replied that it is the blessing of Lord Shri Ram which drives me to do so much work.

Notably, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is given to children who have excelled in six areas: innovation, educational achievements, sports, arts and culture, social service, and bravery. These six prestigious areas are granted to children in India who are over the age of five and under the age of eighteen (as of August 31 of the respective year). ,
According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office, digital certificates for PMRBP recipients would be issued utilising Blockchain Technology in the years 2022 and 2021.
According to the press release, 29 young people from throughout the country were selected for PMRBP-2022 under various Bal Shakti Puraskar categories.
“The awardees also take part in the Republic day parade every year. Each awardee of PMRBP is given a medal, a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh and certificate. The cash prize will be transferred to the respective accounts of PMRBP 2022 winners,” the release further added.
During a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan, President Ram Nath Kovind bestows these honours. The Prime Minister meets with the winners every year.
