Jharkhand logs 1,490 fresh Covid cases, 9 deaths in last 24 hours

Ranchi, Jan 26: New Covid infections, continued to decrease with 1,490 new cases being reported during the last 24 hours in the state on Tuesday taking the total number of active cases to 15,825 with 3,113 recoveries and nine deaths.

While three casualties each were reported from East Singhbhum and Ranchi, one case each from Deoghar, Saraikela and West Singhbhum.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic has reached 4,23,328 out of which 4,02,222 have recovered and 5,281 have scummed to the virus.

Simdega with 303 new cases remained at the top followed by Ranchi with 249 new cases.
