Ranchi, Jan 26: Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Hemant Soren hoisted the national flag at Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi and Police Line in Dumka respectively on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day today.
On the occasion, Chief Minister said, “We have seen the dream of Jharkhand free from fear, hunger, corruption, crime and extremism. We are working in the direction of such a state, where even the people of the weaker sections can take their voice to a higher power. our government has done everything possible for the development of the people of the state in its short time.”

Remembering the martyrs and tribals who died during the freedom struggle, the Chief Minister also mentioned the schemes of his government today.
Talking about education, the CM said that 80 model schools, 325 block-level leader schools and 4091 village-level model schools are being developed in the state. 72 crore has been approved for the construction of 20 model schools in Santhal Parganas. To ensure that education in Corona is not affected, the government has arranged for online education through the DG program.
“For the registration of unorganized workers, more than 80 lakh labourers have been registered in the e-shram portal so far. The initiative has been taken to formulate or amend the appointment rules for the process of appointment to the vacant posts which have been pending for years. Requisition for appointment to 4142 vacant posts has been sent to Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission,” the CM said.
“To provide employment in the private sector by training the youth, the government has signed an MoU with HCL Company. Under this, 12th pass students will be linked with employment in the IT sector. Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Pardeshi Scholarship Scheme has been implemented to provide high-level education to tribal children. The Act has been implemented for the reservation of 75% local people in factories and industries established in the private sector under the state. The government has started the Universal Pension Scheme scheme, under which till now all the people who were untouched by the pension scheme, the government will give them the benefit of pension. Under the ‘Aapke Adhikar Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ program, more than 3 lakh people have been given its benefit,” the CM added.
“In the agriculture sector, along with establishing Krishak Pathshala, the government has implemented the Birsa Village Development Scheme, Krishak Pathshala Yojna, integrated in the form of Birsa Village. 225 rupees are being paid as daily wages in MNREGA. A total of 927 lakh man-days have been created so far,” the CM further said.
