Congress Jharkhand in-charge arrives, begins meeting with party workers

Ranchi, Jan.29: The State guest house reverberated with slogan shouting ‘Avinash Pande Jindabad’ as the newly appointed All India Congress Committee Jharkhand in-charge landed here on a three- day visit.

Over 300 Congress party workers must have reached with bouquets in their hands to welcome the new in-charge around 2pm creating problem for security personnel deputed for his security.

“I am happy with the way I was welcomed at the airport. I wish enthusiasm of party workers remained maintained in the same way. I will chalk out a plan after meeting with party workers,” Pande said

Sanjay Tiwary accompanying Pande from New Delhi said prominent figures who met Pande included executive president Bandhu Tirkey, former union minister Subodh Kant Sahay, Rajya Sabha member Dheeraj Sahu, Jaleshwar Mahto, Sahjada Anwar, state finance minister Rameshwar Oraon, state parliamentary affairs minister Alamgir Alam and state health minister Banna Gupta.

From the Guest House, Pande is expected to visit  Geeetanjali Banquet Hall on Boreya Road. At 5 pm at AG more water resource dept guest house he is expected to meet Congress legislature party leaders.Tomorrow from 10am he will be at the Congress party state headquarters at Shradhanad Road.
