Ranchi, Feb 2: Following the SOP/guidelines of the Jharkhand government, the private schools in the district have opted to open the offline classes by taking the consent of the parents from Monday, 7 February 2022.

Taking a rough survey of the private schools in the district, it was found that the schools have started preparations for providing offline classes to students of classes 9 to 12. At the same time following the SOP online content will be available for those not willing to attend the offline classes.

SR DAV principal Sanjay Kumar Mishra said that after taking the consent from the parents for which notice has been sent on the WhatsApp group, the offline classes will begin from Monday.

“Offline exams will be conducted for the students of classes 9 to 12, which will benefit the students. At the same time parents have also opined that online examinations have no match with the offline mode of examination,” Mishra said.

“The opening of schools will help to get the clear picture of the vaccinated students and the non-vaccinated will be vaccinated in the school premises as the offline classes get started in the premises,” Mishra added.

JVM Shyamali principal Samarjeet Jana said that the school is fully geared up for the offline classes following the guideline of the state government while giving prime importance to the safety and security of the students.

“Almost 80% of the students among the age group of 15 to 17 years are vaccinated with the first dose and opening of schools will help in achieving 100% vaccination of the students among the eligible students,” Jana said.

“Following the SOP, offline as well as the digital version of the classes will be available to the students,” Jana added.

Schools, colleges and universities were allowed to reopen in Jharkhand from Tuesday’s the COVID situation improved. Schools are to reopen for all classes in 17 districts. In the rest, seven districts — Ranchi, East Singhbhum, Chatra, Deoghar, Saraikela, Simdega and Bokaro — which have a higher number of Covid cases, schools will reopen for classes 9 to 12.

The decisions were taken on Monday at a meeting of the State Disaster Management Authority, chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
