Jamshedpur, Feb 3: Train services in Barajamda – Barbil section of South Eastern Railway’s Chakradharpur division was affected on Thursday in view of a traffic-cum-power block for launching of steel girders of a road over bridge between Barajamda and Barbil station.
The Howrah-Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express which left Howrah this morning was short terminated at Barajamda while the return train Barbil-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express will originate from Barajamda.
Therefore, the service of the train in both the directions will remain cancelled between Barajamda and Barbil on Thursday.
Apart from this as many as four local passenger trains will be short terminated at various stations while a couple of trains will run on a diverted route, because of the traffic-cum- power block.
A Chakradharpur railway official said several trains might run behind schedule time because of the railway block.
Station director of Tatanagar HK Balmuchu said all stations have been informed about the railway block.
Announcements were being made at Tatanagar and other stations on the public address system about the railway block.
