Ranchi, Feb.5: The body of a youth was today recovered from a hotel near Kanta Toli bus stand under the Lower Bazar police station area in the Jharkhand capital.
The youth was identified as Mohammed Nasir, a resident of Maulana Azad Colony under the same police station area.
A police official confirmed the recovery saying prima facie the matter appears to be a case of murder.
“The youth was an auto-rickshaw driver but was used to getting involved in the theft. There might be some dispute among his friends about this and this incident took place,” the official said.
Another police official said Nasir had gone to the hotel to meet his two friends from Bihar. “Strangulation marks suggest that he was strangulated but it will be too early to say who strangled him. “His two friends are missing from the hotel,” the official said.
