Lucknow, Feb 8: The Bharatiya Janata Party BJP’s manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh was released on Tuesday by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The BJP’s ‘Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra’ promises farmers free electricity for irrigation and assert that the BJP will improve wheat and paddy purchase at MSP. Under the Rani Laxmi Bai Yojana, the manifesto also offers free scooties to college-aged women. Women above the age of 60 would be able to use public transportation for free, according to the BJP. On the occasion of Diwali and Holi, the PM’s Ujjwala Yojana would offer two complimentary LPG cylinders.

“BJP UP team has given form to this ‘Sankalp Patra’. It is not just a ‘ghoshna patra’, it is UP govt’s resolution… the 2017 ‘Sankalp Patra’ had 212 resolutions, of which 92 have been fulfilled. We do what we say,” said Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) election manifesto, ‘Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra,’ will fulfill all of the promises made five years ago during the 2017 Assembly elections. He went on to say that the state’s law and order has improved in BJP rule and daughters feel safe, and that riots have ceased.
