Ranchi, Feb.15: The Observation Home for children in conflict with law in Jharkhand, where a clash between two groups of children had taken place, today witnessed boys performing yoga and pranayam.
The programme was organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on the instruction of Jharkhand Legal Service Authority Executive Chairman Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh.
Around 100 adolescents participated in the yoga programme. Art of Living instructors Panchanan Singh and Harshad Vaida, were present as trainers. Apart from them, those present on the occasion included DLSA secretary Kamala Kumari besides judicial magistrate Shambhu Mahto
Imparting training Singh, who was earlier a police officer, also made trainees aware of the importance of yoga.
“Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation are very effective ways to get a stress-free life. If one goes
to the gym, it will keep his body healthy, but what about the mind. On the other hand, if one takes the help of yoga, then it will make his body as well as mind healthy,” Singh said.
DLSA secretary Kumari said: “Yoga inspires people to live a harmonious life.”
Shambhu Mahato, Judicial Magistrate, JJB. Ranchi said: “Doing yoga during the corona period is beneficial. Many diseases can be driven away by yoga. It also increases immunity. By doing yoga regularly, a new energy flows in the body and it makes people healthy.”
